A high-level delegation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday to seek the return of the body of its citizen, who died in an airport killing on Feb. 13.

The DPRK delegation, led by its former ambassador to the UN Ri Tong Il, will also seek the release of its citizen, who was arrested as a suspect in the case.

The delegation will discuss with Malaysian government officials on "the development of the friendly relations" between the two countries, Ri told reporters at the front gate of the DPRK embassy in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.

He did not elaborate on whom he will meet.

A row has emerged between the two countries, as the Malaysian police arrested one DPRK suspect by the name of Ri Jong Chol and wanted to question a second secretary of the DPRK embassy in Malaysia. While the DPRK has accused the Malaysian side of showing an unfriendly attitude in handling the case and encroaching upon the the sovereignty of the DPRK.
