Following are the schedules for the fifth session of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC) and the fifth session of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Saturday, March 4. [Special coverage]
NPC:
-- A preparatory meeting for the fifth session of the 12th NPC will be held in the morning to elect a presidium and set the agenda of the session. The presidium will then hold its first meeting.
-- At 11 a.m., a press conference will be held to brief on the agenda of the session and a spokesperson will take questions from Chinese and foreign journalists.
CPPCC:
-- The CPPCC National Committee will hold panel discussions on a work report of its Standing Committee and on a report on handling of proposals submitted by members.
