A Myanmar woman in southwest China's Yunnan Province has been detained on suspicion of transporting drugs, according to local police Monday.
Police in Changning county said they confiscated 4.026 kilograms of heroin from the woman.
The woman caught the attention of police during a routine check of a coach last Saturday. According to police, she acted suspicious and claimed that she was Chinese and surnamed Cao. But it was a false identity and she was found to be from Myanmar.
Police found 12 packets of heroin in her handbag.
The woman has been detained, with her case under investigation.
