The National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, on Wednesday approved three documents on electing deputies to the 13th NPC.[Special Coverage]
Among 2,838 NPC deputies present at the closing meeting of the fifth session of the 12th NPC, 2,787 voted for the decision on the quota and election of deputies to the 13th NPC.
A total of 2,813 deputies voted for the method for electing deputies to the 13th NPC from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), and 2,811 voted for the method for electing deputies to the 13th NPC from the Macao SAR.
