Ding Junhui and Ronnie O' Sullivan both had a 5-0 victory over their opponents in the first round of 2017 World Snooker China Open in Beijing on Tuesday.

Paul. S. Davison was limited to 53 points in all his five frames against China's home favorite who had a century of 138 points in the fourth frame, the second highest so far in this year's China Open.

China's rising star Zhou Yuelong ordered a berth of a second round Chinese derby with Ding after a 5-1 win over Matthew Selt earlier today.

"I hope I will be the winning one," said Ding on the preview of the match.

Ronnie O' Sullivan had his debut after five years in China Open, defeating Gareth Allen 5-0 in a fast-pace win tonight.

As he was fined by World Snooker for complaining about the judge in an earlier match, O' Sullivan was still expressing his anger by answering questions with less than two words.

"Very good," he commented on tonight's match. About returning to Beijing after five year, his answer was "very happy". When he was asked how he feels to see young stars of China, he said: "Amazing."

In the afternoon session, John Higgins headed into the second round by beating Ian Burns 5-1, and China's Liang Wenbo lost to Rory McLeod 2-5.
