The general office of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee issued a document Thursday to guide theoretical study undertaken by core study groups of various levels of Party committees (Party groups).
The document tasked the core study groups, which are made up of leading Party members, with acquainting themselves with a variety of theories and issues, including Marxism, the speeches made by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, Party rules and guidelines as well as economic and social topics related to socialism with Chinese characteristics.
The theoretical learning of Party committee core study groups is crucial to enhancing Party governance, and the new document will help improve officials' theoretical knowledge and leadership skills, according to a statement by the general office.
The document also included provisions on the management and assessment of the core study groups.
