According to the Beijing police, the pair of candleholders stolen from the Ming Tombs were found, and three suspects were detained on April 7, the Beijing Morning Post reported.
The candleholders were made of white marble and were in the tomb of Emperor Chongzhen (1628-1644). They were found missing in June, and the police created a special unit to investigate the case. After about ten days, the three-member gang was found. They have been stealing antiques in and around Beijing.
The Ming Tombs management office was asked to intensify its security methods by the police and the government to prevent grave robberies.
