New Zealand residents and media actively reported the whereabouts of China's most-wanted fugitives after Chinese authorities released information about the suspects on Interpol's red notice list of China's 100 most-wanted fugitives several days ago, Global Times reported on May 5.
Chen Xingming, China's 18th most-wanted fugitive, was suspected of embezzlement when he was director of the Power Construction Corporation of China's Department of Strategic Research and Planning.
New Zealand residents reported that Chen was living in Auckland's Brownstone District, but he had fled the area, the New Zealand Herald reported on May 4.
The media also reported that four other fugitives wanted by China are living in New Zealand, thanks to the information given to them by Chinese authorities.
