Chinese badminton champ Lin Dan has taken to Sina Weibo to demand 4 million yuan ($580,804) in wages owed from a China Badminton Super League club.

Lin posted to his more than 3.6 million followers Tuesday claiming Guangzhou Yueyu had yet to pay him and six other teammates for the 2016-17 season.

"If the club can't solve this problem, we will pursue our rights and interests through legal means," Lin wrote in the statement.

Gao Jun, the club's chairman, claimed that he and coaching staff had also not been paid their salaries since management of the team was transferred to the club's deputy manager, Fu Xun.

Gao said he would travel to Heyuan, where the club is located, to settle the issue.

The post, which saw over 80,000 likes as of press time, also prompted responses from other Yueyu players over outstanding wages.
