When a rainstorm hit the city of Haikou, in south China's Hainan Province last Sunday, a manhole cover was washed away on Xiuzhong road. But video of a "Good Samartian" in China guarding against people falling into the uncovered manhole during the heavy rain has gone and prompted an outpouring of praise online.
Video shot by a passerby shows an old man guarding the hole and informing passersby and cars to stop them from falling into the hole. According to the nearby residents, the man guarded the manhole in the rainstorm for over one hour.
His action has touched many passersby and also many netizens.
