Over 30 suspects had been arrested in an ongoing crackdown for distributing pornography online under the guise of selling virtual reality (VR) glasses.
A statement issued by the National Office Against Pornographic and Illegal Publications Friday said 26 suspects in 15 cases were busted in Zhejiang Province, eastern China.
In February, several online dealers were found sending free pornographic video to people who purchased VR glasses.
A special campaign against such violations were launched in March, in which the office transferred 748 reports to local authorities in Beijing, Zhejiang and three other provinces.
Major e-commerce platforms also cooperated in investigating, screening for pornographic search words and reporting violations, the statement said.
Spreading pornography, whether for profit or not, is subject to administrative or criminal punishment in China.
