Twelve people have been arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking in eastern China's Fujian Province, local customs said Monday.
Xiamen Customs said the suspects smuggled methamphetamine by hiding it in five printing machines that were exported to the Philippines.
Philippine Customs seized more than 600 kilograms of methamphetamine after the machines arrived at the port in Manila Friday.
It is the largest drug trafficking case since the two sides launched cooperation against cross-border drug smuggling, according to Philippine Customs.
The 12 suspects are in police custody. An investigation is underway.
