China's top legislature this week sent teams to inspect the implementation of the Copyright Law.

Chen Zhu, vice chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, headed an inspection team to east China's Fujian Province from Monday to Friday.

Chen called for better implementation of the Copyright Law and stressed that law enforcement is crucial during his visit to enterprises and courts.

He praised local governments' work in improving public awareness of the law and combating infringement and piracy issues.

Wang Chen, also a vice chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, headed a team to northwest China's Qinghai Province from Tuesday to Thursday.

Ensuring the enforcement of the Copyright Law will further protect innovation, stimulate creativity and promote cultural prosperity, Wang said during his visit to enterprises and a university.
