Pizza chain restaurant PizzaHut and the Chinese branch of French publisher Hachette co-launched a series of events and products featuring hand puppet theater in June. International Children's Day is celebrated on June 1.
Customers who buy a designated set meal in a PizzaHut restaurant can get this specially designed series of hand puppets. Then with their parents, the kids can not only enjoy the meal, but also spend some quality time together, playing different roles in the theater.
The puppet characters are from the cartoon franchise, Madagascar, They include Zebra Marty, who is super adaptive and loves freedom; Lion Alex, a confident and brave lion from Africa and Gloria, a righteous and considerate hippo. All these cartoon figures jump from film screens to the palms of the children's hands. They can create the play they have in their minds with their parents. The experience is educational and can stimulate children's imaginations and improve their skills in logical thinking.
The event will last till June 30 and is available at over 1,700 PizzaHut restaurants in China.
