The Ministry of Civil Affairs (MCA) announced Wednesday that allocation of welfare lottery funds should be made public by the end of June each year.
Civil affairs departments at all levels must disclose welfare programs; the amount of money involved; and those in charge of the programs, among other information, according to a regulation released by the MCA.
Departments will be punished if they are late, the information is incorrect, or they refuse to make the information public, the regulation said.
Civil affairs departments will inspect the management and use of welfare lottery funds, according to a separate regulation issued by the MCA.
Those involved in falsifying documents, embezzlement or other violations will be held accountable, it said.
