Guangzhou Evergrande beat Hebei China Fortune 2-0 at home on Sunday in the 14th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL), for its 10th consecutive win, a CSL record of winning streak.
Guangzhou secured the top place of the half season with one round ahead, while Hebei, which was just promoted into the CSL last season, ranked third temporarily.
After a goalless first half, Brazilian Ricardo Goulart opened the scoring in the 47th minute with a header, from a pass off Yu Hanchao.
Six minutes later, the other two Brazilian helped the host to expand the lead to 2-0 as Alan scored from Paulinho's free kick, which hit the defensive wall.
In the other match on Sunday, Shanghai SIPG defeated Henan Jianye 4-1 at home, after visiting defender Eddi Gomes gifted Shanghai one goal and an "assist".
Brazilian Elkson also scored for the host in the 61st minute.
With the win, Shanghai SIPG ranked second in the league, four points behind Guangzhou.
