The China A team - comprising Ding Junhui and Liang Wenbo – won the Snooker World Cup on Sunday in Wuxi, east China's Jiangsu Province.

The Chinese pair came from behind to defeat England's Judd Trump and Barry Hawkins 4-3 in the final. At one point they had been 1-3 down against the talented English duo.

This marked the third time in a row that China has won the Snooker World Cup, after the non-ranking event was relaunched in 2011. 24 teams competed this year, including a China B team as well as a pair representing Hong Kong.

Ding and Liang had teamed up to lift the trophy in 2011, while the China B team of Yan Bingtao and Zhou Yuelong had triumphed in the last World Cup two years ago.

"In the deciding frame, I don't think I will lose to anyone. I was playing with great confidence," said Ding after the match, adding that his partner Liang backed him up and strengthened his confidence when he was not playing well in the doubles.
