The Chinese embassy has urged Japanese authorities to launch a thorough investigation after two bodies believed to be of two Chinese sisters were found in Kanagawa Prefecture, southeast Japan.
A Chinese national called the embassy on Tuesday night, reporting that two Chinese sisters were missing in Yokohama, the embassy said in a statement.
Japanese media reported on Friday morning that two bodies had been found in suitcases in a mountainous area of Kanagawa. The police are checking their identities.
The embassy said it is in close contact with the Chinese government and will give further assistance in the investigation.
