Former Brazil international midfielder Hernanes has rejoined his former club Sao Paulo on a year-long loan from Hebei China Fortune.
The 32-year-old will arrive in Sao Paulo on Friday after the respective parties agreed to financial terms for his return to the club where he won back-to-back league titles in 2007 and 2008.
"Hernanes is a Sao Paulo idol and I'm certain that his signing will give us a big boost," Sao Paulo president Carlos Silva said in a statement on the club's official website.
Hernanes made just six appearances for Hebei China Fortune, whom he joined from Juventus in February.
Having played 215 matches in six seasons at Sao Paulo, Hernanes joined Lazio in 2010 before moving to Inter Milan in 2014 and then Juventus the following year.
He has been capped 27 times for Brazil's national team and scored two goals.
Sao Paulo are currently languishing in 17th place in Brazil's 20-team Serie A standings with just four wins from 15 matches.
