The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) held a chairpersons' meeting Thursday afternoon to review draft laws and resolutions.
The chairman and vice chairpersons reviewed opinions from lawmakers on draft laws on nuclear safety and the national anthem, as well as draft revisions to the law of promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises and other eight laws, including the Judges Law.
The meeting was presided over by Zhang Dejiang, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee.
Legislators also reviewed draft lists of members of electoral councils for electing deputies from the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macao to the 13th NPC.
After further revisions, the documents will be reviewed at the next meeting of the chairman and vice chairpersons, during which they will decide whether to put them to vote at the end of the bi-monthly session of the committee.
