The Russian Foreign Ministry has launched the Chinese version of its website, spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Thursday.
"This move is in line with the goal of developing bilateral relations, which, as you know, is a comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination that has already reached an all-time high," Zakharova said at a news briefing.
She said the ministry's press service would select priority news and pictures for readers with the aim of "increasing the accessibility of information placed on the Foreign Ministry's portal."
The ministry will test the operation of the Chinese version of the website and welcomes comments from users in order to improve it, Zakharova said.
The ministry's website is currently in Russian, English, Chinese, French, Spanish and German.
