Monday marked HRH The Crown Prince of Denmark, Frederik's third day visiting China. The Crown Prince took part in the ceremony for the official inauguration of the new Sino-Danish Center (SDC), and "SDC Inauguration Great Wall Run – Joining Forces for a Healthy Future" on the Great Wall.
Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhang Baowen, and President for Chinese Academy of Sciences Bai Chunli also joined in delivering speeches for the official inauguration of the new SDC-building at noon.
Before the official inauguration ceremony, the Crown Prince took a tour of the new building and got an introduction of the building's functionality and architecture.
In the afternoon, the Crown Prince attended the Sino-Danish Center's "SDC Inauguration Great Wall Run – Joining Forces for a Healthy Future" on the Great Wall. To focus on the health of children and young people in China, the Crown Prince ran with SDC-students.
The run is organized by SDC, Novo Nordisk, the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Royal Danish Embassy.
According to The Royal Danish House, the Crown Prince's four-day visit in China intends to strengthen the relationship, and to deal with the education, research and innovation collaboration between Denmark and China.
