A passenger plane managed to land safely at an airport in southeast China's Xiamen city Thursday afternoon after a malfunctioning undercarriage resumed work.
The Boeing 757, belonging to Kazakhstan's Air Astana, successfully landed at about 2:20 p.m. at the Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, according to the airport.
Earlier the plane, with four crew members aboard, had hovered around three hours in the sky to deplete extra fuel after it reported a landing gear failure in a test flight after repairs in the city.
Nearly half flights in the airport had been delayed.
