Zheng Youlin, a sculptor based in Fuzhou in Fujian province, saw his solo exhibition unveiled at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing on Saturday.
Zheng's works have been collected by many museums, including the Palace Museum.
The 60 showpieces, created over a period of 30 years, are classified into two series, Zen and Innocence. The artist carved his meditations on art and life into stone. The scupltures also represent Zheng's pursuit of freedom and independence.
The exhibition will run until Oct. 29.
