Xi made the remarks while touring with Trump to the Palace Museum, or the Forbidden City, as the U.S. president started his visit in Beijing on Wednesday.

China and the United States on Wednesday signed business deals worth about 9 billion U.S. dollars in Beijing, according to a senior U.S. official.

Trump begins state visit to China
U.S. President Donald Trump arrived in Beijing Wednesday afternoon, beginning his three-day state visit to China.
It is Trump's first visit to the country since he assumed the presidency in January. He is the first head of state to visit China since the landmark 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
