A fugitive suspected of corruption has been caught in Myanmar and returned to China, the discipline inspection authority of Zhejiang Province said Tuesday.
Chen Suiyuan, a former employee at the Agricultural Bank of China in Wencheng County, fled to Vietnam with her husband in April 2006, and later lived in Thailand and Myanmar.
The procuratorate issued an arrest warrant in May 2006. She was listed in an Interpol Red Notice in October of the same year.
In July 2015, her husband returned to China to turn himself in. But Chen refused to do so until her arrest.
So far, 12 of 35 Party members and government staff from the province who have fled China are still at large.
