A huge fire was put out in a shopping mall in Tiantongyuan, a major residential complex in northern Beijing at noon on Thursday, said the city's fire department. No casualties have been reported.
According to the fire department, the fire started at a restaurant on the fourth floor of the shopping mall, but did not elaborate what caused the fire.
The fire occurred at 11:55 a.m. and has been brought under control around thirty minutes after it started.
Users on Chinese social media Weibo has posted clips showing thick black clouds of smoke billowing in the air.
