Chinese romantic comedy "The Ex-file: The Return of the Exes" continued to dominate the Chinese film market in the week ending Jan. 14, earning 427 million yuan (66.3 million U.S. dollars), China Film News reported Tuesday.
The love story has raked in nearly 1.73 billion yuan since hitting Chinese screens on Dec. 29.
Sony's family-oriented movie "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" came in second with 240 million yuan at the box office in its debut week.
Third place went to domestic romance film "Forever Young," which has made 129 million yuan since its release on Jan. 12.
Hollywood blockbuster "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," landed in fourth place, generating about 61.6 million yuan last week. It has made 248 million yuan since its release on Jan. 5.
Rounding out the top five was veteran director Feng Xiaogang's "Youth," which has grossed nearly 1.4 billion yuan since Dec. 15.
