A total of 34 self-service printing devices for exit-entry administration records were on Feb 1 put into service at the city's aviation and maritime hubs.
These machines can be found at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal and Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal.
The devices, which are free to use, are expected to bring greater convenience to travelers who need to apply for tax refunds, travel reimbursement, visa cancelation and other related matters.
The machines are equipped with anti-counterfeiting technology that ensures the seals it produces have the same legal validity as those given by border security officers.
