In response to a U.S. bill promoting ties with Taiwan, China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying expressed strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition on Thursday, saying that China urges the U.S. to keep its commitment to the one-China policy and the three China-U.S. joint communiqués.
The U.S. Senate passed a bill on Wednesday promoting U.S.-Taiwan relations.
