China's largest provider of private educational services New Oriental Education and Technology Group reported Wednesday a net revenue increase of 28.6 percent year-on-year from $169.9 million to $218.5 million in the third quarter of its fiscal year 2013.
Its net profit increased to $28 million from $22.4 million, up 25 percent over last year.
Income from operations increased by 35.9 percent year-on-year to $23.5 million from $17.3 million.
Enrolled students declined by 3.2 percent year-on-year to approximately 576,900 from 596,100. And the number of schools and teaching centers totaled 733 in the quarter ended February 28,2013, down 11 from 744 in the previous quarter.
