Five more countries - the Netherlands, Brazil, Finland, Georgia and Denmark - have been accepted as prospective founding members of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), China's Ministry of Finance (MOF) said in a statement on its website on Sunday.
A total of 46 countries have been approved as prospective founding members of the AIIB so far, the MOF said.
Jin Liqun, secretary-general of the interim multilateral secretariat of the AIIB, said at a forum in Singapore on Saturday that China is keeping the door open for the US to join the AIIB and the founding members will be less than 60, Bloomberg reported on Saturday.
