U.S. luxury electric-car maker Tesla Motors Inc announced on Wednesday that it would build a charging network that could cover northern and eastern parts of China. The project will be completed within 2015.
In order to connect these areas with a complete charging network, Tesla will build charging poles in several cities including Jinzhou, Changchun and Harbin in Northeast China.
Besides, Tesla will construct another charging route from Beijing to Zhengzhou in Central China's Henan Province, as part of a charging network connecting North China and Central China.
So far, Tesla has more than 1,000 charging poles in about 100 cities in China.
Starting from this July, Tesla will also begin to install charging poles to about 70 hotels across China.
