Chinese shares showed signs of stabilization on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rising 2.41 percent to finish at 3,775.91 points.
However, the Shenzhen Component Index lost 1.39 percent to close at 12,075.77 points.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, plunged 4.28 percent to end at 2,493.83 points.
