China will host a Chile Week, featuring wine and food from the South American country, later this month, as part of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

Former Chilean president H. E. Eduardo Frei will lead a delegation of more than 150 business people and officials to visit Shanghai on Aug 23-25 and Beijing on Aug 26-28, according to Chile's Embassy in China.

Among the 150-strong delegation will be Luis Felipe Cespedes, minister of economic affairs, Alberto Undurraga, minister of public works and Andres Rebolledo, deputy minister of foreign trade.

The events will also take place during the 10th anniversary of the Chile-China Free Trade Agreement, the first FTA China signed with a single country. Since 2005, bilateral trade has increased fourfold to $34 billion in 2014.

Chile Week will also feature trade and investment seminars, and meetings in key areas such as infrastructure, energy, mining and agriculture.
