China's electricity output fell two percent year on year to 509 billion kilowatt-hours in July, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Wednesday.
The total electricity output in Jan.-July reached more than 3.2 trillion kilowatt-hours, up 0.4 percent year on year, according to the NBS.
Thermal power output in Jan.-July reached 2.5 trillion kilowatt-hours, down three percent year on year, while hydropower output grew 9.6 percent in the past seven months to reach 534 billion kilowatt-hours.
