State Grid Corporation of China issued a mid-year comprehensive adjustment plan lately, according to the latest reports from Economics Information Daily.
The adjustment plan mainly aims to raise its fixed assets investment to 467.9 billion yuan (73.18 billion U.S. dollars), or an increase of 16 percent, to add projects of rural power grid upgrading reconstruction and new energy access.
Investing in power grid construction, which covers long industry chains and brings relatively fast returns, is considered an important counter-cyclical option to fuel economic growth.
Analysts believed, such scale of investment in this filed, once realized, would significantly boost the performance of the relevant listed corporations.
