Okaijia, a Chinese two and three-wheel motorcycles trading enterprise, has held a one-day event in Ouagadougou, the Burkina Faso capital, presenting its products to local consumers.

Cheng Jianjun, African region manager of the enterprise, said Monday's show, the first in the country on Chinese motorcycle products, aims to "meet the customers and explore the potential of Burkina Faso market."

"We are here with durable and reasonably-priced vehicles. In a nutshell, we have solid and cheaper motorcycles," he said.

The enterprise, a subsidiary of Yanshi Longye in Guangzhou, has over a hundred stores spread over Burkina Faso, Niger, Ghana, Benin and Mali.

The prices of three-wheel motorcycles vary from 700,000 Cfa Francs (1,192.64 U.S. dollars) to 1.2 million Cfa Francs, whereas those of two-wheel range from 500,000 to 700,000 Cfa Francs.

Mahamadi Kindo, technical manager of the enterprise, said they were happy to be able to meet face-to-face with the consumers.

"The enterprise is well positioned on the Burkina Faso market and has customers in every important city across the country," he said.

Okaijia has just opened office in Togo and Burkina Faso and is planning to extend to many other markets in the sub-region.
