Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, announced Thursday to set up strategic partnership with branches of several of China's biggest banks in the Netherlands as well as a Dutch technology company to jointly explore the possibilities of using ICT technologies to optimize products and services for the end-customers.
The partnership with Bank of China in Rotterdam, China Construction Bank Europe (CCB) in Europe, the European branch of the largest inspection and certification group of China (CCIC Europe), Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) Europe and Koning & Hartman, was signed in the presence of China's Ambassador to the Netherlands Chen Xu and executives from all concerned corporations.
At the signing ceremony, all parties expressed their willingness to work together in the Netherlands and discuss possible approaches for the use of Huawei's innovative ICT concepts.
"Based on extensive ICT technology experience, Huawei aspires to benefit the financial market in efficient network management through offering stable, affordable and sustainable solutions," said Wonder Wang, CEO of Huawei Technologies Netherlands.
"Huawei will commit to stable and long-term investment in business-driven ICT infrastructure in the Netherlands, such as Data Center and Internet of Things (IoT). Definitely the win-win cooperation with CCIC, ICBC, CCB and Bank of China would greatly benefit the end-customers," said Wang.
Huawei provides ICT solutions and services in over 170 countries, serving more than one third of the world's population. In the Netherlands, Huawei employs 620 staff and works together with telecom and ICT companies. Huawei currently has three offices in the Netherlands with headquarters in Amsterdam.
