A new international freight train from Linyi in East China's Shandong Province to Europe opened on Tuesday.
The train, carrying food and tires, left the Linyi North Station on Tuesday afternoon. It will enter Russia via Manzhouli, China's largest land port by turnover with Russia, before heading for its destination in Hamburg, Germany.
The cargo train, with 20 cars, will be run every two days. Like Yiwu in East China's Zhejiang Province, Linyi is also a famous regional commodity trade center.
