China's 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020), finalized at the fifth Plenary Session of the 18th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee on Oct. 29, was disseminated in Cambodia on Monday.

Shen Chunyao, deputy secretary general of the Chinese National People's Congress Standing Committee, said the dissemination was aimed to introduce China's latest economic development plan to Cambodian people.

"Through this dissemination, I hope that Cambodian people will clearly understand about China's economic development policy in the next five years," he said in a press briefing, which was attended by some 25 journalists and researchers.

He said China will emphasize on innovation, coordinated and green development, opening up and inclusiveness to fulfill the economic goals in the next five-year period.

The plan, setting a target of maintaining a medium-high speed of growth, aims to double its 2010 GDP and per capita income of residents both in cities and rural areas by 2020, he said, adding that the annual growth for the 2016-2020 period must be at least 6.5 percent.

He said to achieve the goal, China will continue to deepen reforms and stick to the rule of law and the leadership of the CPC.

According to Shen, the China's 13th five-year plan will be ratified by the annual session of China's top legislature in March next year.
