Xinjiang's installed new energy capacity has passed 24 million kilowatts, accounting for over 30 percent the region's total installed power capacity, State Grid's Xinjiang branch said.
The installed capacities of wind and photovoltaic power have reached 15.9 million and 8.2 million kilowatts respectively, the company told a press conference on Sunday.
Xinjiang's new energy sector generated 18.3 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity from January to November, accounting for 23 percent of the total quantity of sold electricity, exceeding the national average.
Besides, Xinjiang has transferred 3 billion kilowatt-hours of new energy out of the region since January, an increase of 16.7 percent year-on-year.
