A cargo flight linking central China's Wuhan City to India's Mumbai will be launched March 1, according to the civil aviation office of Wuhan City on Friday.
The direct flight, to be operated by a B747-200F of Wuhan Uni-top Airlines, is scheduled to run twice a week. The flight will mainly transport electronics, textiles and construction equipment, a source with the office said.
The city of Wuhan already has cargo connections to Kyrgyzstan's Bishkek, India's Delhi, Kazakhstan's Almaty and Bangladesh's Dhaka.
Mumbai is one of the most important cities along China's "Belt and Road" Initiative route.
