During the CPPCC press conference, spokesman Wang Guoqing also talked about China's investment environment. He said China will not change its policy on utilizing foreign investment and encouraging overseas firms to invest in China. [Special coverage]
"The environment is improving, instead of worsening, for overseas investors in China. It is just that market competition is becoming increasingly fierce. The Chinese government will stick to its policy of creating and facilitating an institutionalized and globalized environment for foreign investors and overseas entrepreneurs," Wu said.
"We'd like to reassure investors that the huge Chinese market, with a population of 1.3 billion, will remain a popular destination for international investors. It is still a lucrative market, so you should be reassured about keeping investing here."
