Deputy Chairman of the State Council of Oman Al Khattab bin Ghalib al-Hina'ei said here Saturday that Oman is ready to join in China's Belt and Road initiative while meeting with the Chinese NPC delegation.
At the invitation of Oman-China Friendship Association Arken Imirbaki, Arken Imirbaki, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress and President of China-Arab Friendship Association, ended a four-day friendly visit to Oman.
Arken Imirbaki held separate talks with Al Khattab bin Ghalib al-Hina'ei, Deputy Chairman of the State Council of Oman, Khalid bin Salim al-Sa'eedi, Secretary General of the State Council and Head of the Executive Committee of the Oman-China Friendship Association, and Saeed Saleh Saeed Al Kiyumi, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During the meeting, Arken Imirbaki said Oman is one of the oldest countries in the Gulf region, and is an important partner in China's Belt and Road initiative. China attaches importance to developing relations with Oman in various fields and would like to maintain exchanges, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and push China-Oman friendly cooperative relations forward.
Al Khattab bin Ghalib al-Hina'ei welcomed the Chinese delegation, saying Oman and China enjoy traditional friendship and the relations between the two countries are developing smoothly in various fields.
Oman is ready to participate in Belt and Road Initiative and conduct cooperation under the framework, said al-Hina'ei, who highly appreciated the roles played by the two countries' friendship associations in promoting friendship, non-governmental exchanges and cooperation.
