An alliance aimed at spurring green development in China was formed in Beijing on Saturday, attracting the participation of multiple research institutions, firms and analysts.
The alliance aims to build a public service platform to promote integrated development between research centers, technology professionals and financing institutions.
Several cooperation pacts between research institutions and companies have been signed with the forming of the alliance, which will include separate committees regarding agriculture, coal, construction and steel.
The move came as the Chinese government is intensifying efforts to build a greener economy for a more sustainable growth model.
In the country's 13th Five-Year Plan for the 2016-2020 period, the government has made green development one of its major priorities.
