Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co. will recall some imported Lexus vehicles over defective brake actuators from April 15.
The recall will involve 15,322 vehicles sold on the Chinese mainland that were produced between Sept. 1, 2015, and Feb. 26, 2016, according to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine in a statement.
The substandard brake actuators may cause the vehicles' anti-lock braking system (ABS) and vehicle stability control (VSC) to not function properly, said the statement.
The company will replace the faulty parts free of charge, it said.
