China Railway, previously part of the defunct Ministry of Railways, and home appliance maker Haier Group have signed a strategic cooperation agreement for containerized shipments, the company said in a statement on Saturday.
China Railway units, as well as China Railway Express Co, and Haier's own logistics company, will work on projects such as special trains to ship Haier products via rails.
Containers will be used to decrease the cargo damage rate. The trains will travel at up to 120 kilometers per hour.
