GAC Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Co. will recall 2,990 defective vehicles in China starting on Monday.
The recall involves 2,990 imported vehicles manufactured between March 5, 2012 and April 25, 2014, according to a statement on the website of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
Water could enter the control modules of the anti-lock braking systems of affected vehicles, increasing risks when driving, the statement said.
GAC Fiat Chrysler promised to check all affected vehicles and replace defective parts free of charge, according to the statement.
