The language service section of the fourth China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services will discuss the development of language services as related to the Belt and Road Initiative and artificial intelligence, organizers said.
At a news conference in Beijing, the host, the Translators Association of China, said a forum of the section, to be held on May 31, would discuss how language services can help Chinese companies integrate into the Belt and Road Initiative, proposed by President Xi Jinping in 2013, and expand their business abroad.
The forum also plans to focus on challenges and reforms that technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning bring to the global language service sector.
The section will hold an activity to promote language service brands, technologies and projects. A focus of preparations was inviting potential buyers to attend that activity, organizers said.
The association said the language service section would cooperate with the sections of intellectual property and service outsourcing at the fair, to be held from May 28 to June 1, to better serve companies and related industries.
More than 180 people are expected to attend activities at the language service section, including delegates from related associations and executives from internet and language service companies.
